Andrea Libby  

Andrea Libby - Anna Frid and principal girl in Retro

Andrea started singing and dancing when she was just 3 years of age. Initially, the most part of her training was ballet, but she went on to pursue an all round, full time, three year performance course at the Arts Educational Schools in London. Whilst still at college she worked with the National Youth Dance Company, working with choreographer Richard Alston, then from college a combination of singing and dancing jobs including theatre companies, (one of which appeared in “The Talk Of London” Drury Lane), Cruise Lines, and pop bands, (one with a recording contract). Appearances include MTV, GMTV, The Big Breakfast, The Virgin Staff Party by special request from Sir Richard Branson. Music is very much her life and she plays piano, saxophone and clarinet. Andrea loves to travel, especially with her work and welcomes touring as a great way to combine her two passions in life.

 

Jo Libby  

Joanne Libby - Agnetha and principal girl in Retro

 

Joanne started training first as a dancer at the age of 4, learning ballet, modern jazz and tap. She continued this training along with her academic studies until she left school. During this time she discovered her ability and passion for singing and through her childhood was involved in many amateur musical productions in lead roles, the first of which was at the age of 11 when she played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. She also realised at this time her love of the theatre. At the age of 18 she went on to study at the Arts Educational School on a professional Musical Theatre Course. Following her training she has worked in a variety of jobs including theatre shows, pop bands, one of which was an original project. She has toured round the UK with different acts including a 5 piece covers band which she toured with for 5 years as lead singer and appeared at many large corporate events. She has also toured much of Europe with a theatre tribute show playing to audiences of up to 20,000 people. When she is not touring other countries she spends her time in her home in Spain.
As well as singing and dancing Joanne plays the piano and also loves to travel.

 

Dennis  

Dennis Scally – Benny Anderson and keyboards – Retro

 

After graduating from Music College Dennis went straight into the music industry as a professional keyboard player, musical director and arranger. Contracts included various theatre tours and working for a number of hotel and holiday chains. In the mid 80’s Dennis was flown out to Sydney Australia to work for P&O cruises as Band Leader and musical arranger on their prestigious ship Oriana. This was followed by contracts on other P&O ships including their flag ship Canberra and Sea Princess. After two years with P&O he was back in the UK working as freelance musical director, arranger and keyboard player for various household names. These included, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Lenny Henry, Cilla Black, Bobby Davro and Joe Longthorne. In the early 90’s Dennis opened Sunset Studios, which offered a wide range of recording facilities, and was used by many well-known acts and bands.
In 2003 (in pursuit of a quieter life) Dennis and Patti moved to Southern Spain.

 

Rae  

Rae Daniels – Bjorn and guitarist/singer – Retro

 

Danny is a guitarist with over 20 years experience in a variety of styles. Danny has played in major venues all around the UK and supported major acts on tour in Scotland.
Whilst in a band writing and performing original material, Danny worked with The Police's producer Nigel Gray and appeared in BBC television's long running cult series " Grange Hill". During this time, his band owned their own studio and Danny produced commercials and voice-overs for Scottish Television.
As Commercial Manager in London's Virgin Megastore, Danny was part of the team that staged events for NME, Kerrang, FHM, WWF, Sony & Nintendo and hosted exclusive performances by the Spice Girls, All Saints, Tom Jones, Brian May, Culture Club, Bryan Adams, Ash, Travis, Supergrass & Idlewild.
His live guitar playing brings a dynamic edge to Abba The Concerts' live shows.
